1. Why an Online Format?

Quite simply, this is the most efficient and effective way to establish a network between teachers from everywhere across Canada – and even if you are not computer savvy – this service is very user-friendly.

Here is just a sample of some of things you will be able to do online:

  • See and hear the presenters
  • Speak with the presenters and with other teachers (or type in comments & questions)
  • Share ideas in small or large groups
  • Use an online interactive whiteboard to share notes, diagrams, etc.
  • Download classroom resource(s) related to session topic

The software is available for download at no cost. Elluminate accommodates the lowest computer bandwidth while keeping the delivery fast – so regardless of how old or slow your computer is, you will be able to participate easily.
Downloading Elluminate is quick and easy – simply click on the session link and the process is automatic.

3. How will the Sessions be Organized
and Delivered?

  • Workshop Length: 45 minutes
  • Workshop Follow-Up Chat: 15 minutes (takes place immediately after the workshop and is an opportunity to share ideas with teachers from across the country)
  • Sessions are offered as a live, interactive session after-school/evening (depending on your time zone).
  • Sessions are then archived afterwards so that you can watch and listen when it is most convenient to you
  • Workshop follow-up will be conducted via an online session one week after the session. You will have a chance to connect with other teachers and discuss your success stories with the implementation strategies

4. French is a Life Skill - Our Source Material
